My Teeth Are Missing
by Donna J. Shepherd

This morning I lost my
front teeth.
Now nothing I say sounds the same.
Sally, my best friend, keeps giggling
Because I can't say her first name.
Sally sounds more like Thally.
I'm spitting all over the place.
I smiled at myself in the mirror.
That sure doesn't look like my face.
How can two teeth that's called baby
Leave such a big gap in between?
I'm glad that my name is Rebecca -
Not Cindy or Sam - or Celine!
Donna is the author of The Lonely Lightning Bug;
OUCH! Sunburn; No More Gunk;
The Topsy Tales Series: Dottie's Topsy Tale,
Chizzy's Topsy Tale, and Sully's Topsy Tale; Poodle and Doodle, and Bradybug.
